Chinatown - Washington, DC
Gallery Place is the largest urban mixed use project
in modern Washington's history. Located adjacent to
the MCI Center in Chinatown, it is a $250 million multi-faceted
development project with approximately 300,000 square
feet of retail and entertainment uses, including 14
movie theaters; 275 new condominium housing units; 400,000
square feet of new offices; and 1,000 parking spaces.
Partnering with Western Development Corporation and
the Akridge Company, FLGA LLC actively participated
in all aspects of project development from conception
through construction, including instrumental in gaining
a $75 million TIF (Tax Increment Financing) bond approval
from the District of Columbia. TIF is an innovative
financing program designed to facilitate projects of
special merit. Gallery Place is under construction and
is slated to open in March 2004.
